I'm Toria, and I’ve been in your shoes.

I started Missing Piece because I know first-hand what it takes to navigate the daily ups and downs of running a business. With 20 years of experience in the retail sector, including 6 years running my own bricks-and-mortar retail stores, a nail salon, and a boutique consultancy, I understand the real, daily pressures of running a business.

In July 2019, I launched my first boutique. It traded phenomenally well - until the March 2020 lockdowns changed everything overnight. Because my business was too new, I wasn't eligible for the early rounds of government support. I had to pivot instantly, try new things, and relentlessly hustle to steer three separate businesses successfully through the pandemic.

I know how lonely, stressful, and overwhelming self-employment can be. I know what it is like when you are working in the business and don't have a single second to work on it. Most importantly, I know what leaders, founders, and teams actually need when the pressure is on: practical support, straight-talking advice, and a trusted ally in their corner.

I knew I wanted to help. To back up my raw survival instinct with world-class strategy, I invested in myself and completed my MBA at the University of Birmingham. Today, I combine that rigorous, academic business training with genuine, real-world empathy. I don’t just consult; I partner with you to build a sustainable, successful business that you actually enjoy running.
